I dont think there are record stores in New Mexico, if so they shure dont sell burzum. Ive never seen burzum in any stores.

That's lucky, since no relatives will buy you any by accident.

fuckin exactly. i think they spent more time trying to look like the so-called greatest metal band in the world rather than by being the the best metal band in the world. too much time spent doing interviews and photoshoots and to little time working on where they needed to go musically. and i don't expect bands too stay the same either. we already have master of puppets and AJFA so give us something new. i don't think that metallica will ever truly go thrash again but i think that if metallica re-discovers the fun of playing together and making metal then the product will benefit. but i think hammet needs to go cause i don't really believe his interest in metal is really there anymore. look at his playing on the load and newer albums and you can see signs of laziness and dis-interest.

I mean with MTV napster, and what else, but you do have some points. Metallica want to be viewed as rockstars, but they're to busy changing their kids diapers to be 'rockstars'. Metallica needed a counciler when writing st.anger. You have all known each other since 82, you can't even somewhat get points across.

Any band who has not re-released in album in 5,6 years should probably just go away or keep a lower profile. Metallica missed out on a lot of years after 90. The band took forever to even release st.anger.

I've seen many more people say Slayer sold out.

Not to mention Anthrax, Satyricon, Samael, Opeth, Celtic Frost... eh.

How are Slayer sellouts.... they're doing the same shit they've always been doing. It jus sounds a lil better now if you ask me. I know the CD God Hates Us All sounded realy cliche, but alot of metal CD's have cliche names. The actual music on the CD was wicked beyond all belief. Of course that's my opinion, your entitled to your own... but sellouts... I don't think so.

Opeth have got quite a bit of publicity in the metal community... but they're not realy sellouts. The other ones... not quite sure.

Slayer's continued existence is almost making fun of itself. Kerry King let his ego get to him and now he's one of the silliest "celebrities" this side of Phil Anselmo, Dave Mustaine and Lars Ulrich. The cliche that was adolescent Satanism in the 80's seems to have been lost on Slayer, and their music has gotten progressively more comical with each album, particularly in their attempts to catch on to the Slipknot fan bandwagon, which further dumbed down their already pretty stupid music.

Take these as a gift, and do well.

I don't know... metallica does a damn good job making "hard rock" albums.... they make them catchy and entertaining....

Eh, I don't like their hard rock albums. But then again, I don't like hard rock at all for that matter (yep that's right, I don't even like Led Zeppelin).

not liking an entire genre is stupid. sorry.
I guess it's not really not liking an entire genre. It's just that I haven't heard any hard rock yet that I like (maybe there is some hard rock out there that I would like, I dunno). But I can say that I have heard the following bands and do not like them: Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin, WASP, Velvet Revolver, and any 80s hard rock band for that matter.

It depends on the reasoning, slick. If you don't like something because of what it doesn't sound like (i.e. "It's not Metal, it sucks), then it's stupid, but if you just don't like how it sounds, there's nothing stupid about not liking it.
