My mixes usually clips when I listen on the iPod, but not in the computer.. why..?

If the EQ is engaged in the iPod, it could be boosting the song's output, causing it to clip. At least that's what happens on my iPod.

Haha, I guess I haven't paid much attention. I haven't noticed it. Or maybe the 10 minute long songs made up of 3 riffs lulls me before I can comprehend the clipping...

I love Machine Head, but am severely let down by this release. IMHO, musically, I think each song's statement could have been more adequately made in under 3 minutes. I'm all for a long song if it calls for it. But, man, this stuff comes off like it was beaten and dragged for miles.

One of the worst albums for me to sit through mastering-wise is God Forbid's Constitution of Treason. I can get maybe 3 songs in before its out of the player.

Just hear one song of the new MH for the first time. It was the Video for their first "single" (can't remember the name) - at least I didn't notice anything soundwise. The song is cool though.

OK, I went back and listened to this and now all I hear is clipping. I noticed the most during Wolves when I skimmed through it.
