I actually have yet to hear Blackfield. I only ever read one review of it, which gave it 2/10. This was encouraging, as the same publication gave Damnation 3/10.

Wow, yeah, you're totally gay.

But really, Wilson is all over this fucking album. Don't get me wrong, Steven Wilson's voice is beautiful and glorious and all that shit, but Geffen only gets lead vocals on 2 songs. What the fuck - he has such a great voice. Hopefully he'll have a bigger role on the new album, vocal-wise anyway.

Great rainy-day music. I love Blackfield.

As for hearing Geffen more I totally agree but besides his vocals Geffen doesn't have that much to show for...

As for me being gay...what would you do in my situation?

I actually dislike Geffens voice. I mean, on the Blackfield album it's ok, even good, probably because he doesn't sing that much. But, overall his singing style is a bit irritating.
He recently released a single here, where it's mostly him and a piano, and fuck, it sounds like he's purposely singing so horrible.

blackfield is dead good. and yes it's much more ACCESSIBLE, meaning pop. and hell, theres nothing wrong with it. this world needs such music, too...GOOD POP

I don't hear pop in Blackfield, I hear musical arrangements written in the vein of the singer/songwriter movement in the 70s. It sounds very 70s to me.

Certain No-Man album are much more pop than Blackfield. Not to mention some of the stuff on Lightbulb Sun.
