as for still life...there was a band which also did one self titled album in the early 70s on the vertigo label. ironically the cover featured a bunch of pink orchids, and the font is strangely akin to an opeth logo. speculation still ensues however, due to van der graaf also having an album titled still life, as well as the term itself being fairly common and normal in the world of art and music, so whos to say really.

Thanks for the info about this band. :)
Have to search for their LP...

I see one of you have Prof. Wolfff as your user thingie. Now that's a great album, I really like that one!

Yeah, very great album. Especially "Hans im Glück", "Weh' uns"...well, every fucking song on that one is amazing.
I got into them 'cause I saw the album on your playlist and got it - together with The Old Man And The Sea ("Jingoism" is stunning - also a fantastic album) - so...thanks for the recommendations. :worship:

mike has been posting in that prog thread for 2 years now or so...once in a while anyway. im sure he would post more if more people got involved in that thread, instead of worrying so much about pink sweatshirts, what GR concept is about and what other useless mumbo jumbo everyone insists on talking about here.
