Blind Guardian

if you haven't given "A night at the Opera" a listen I'd recommend it. There are some quality songs on there; the first 5 come to mind, and "...And then there was Silence" is an epic track about the fall of Troy.

Wasn't a big fan of "A Twist i the Myth" but I love "Skalds and Shadows" off of it, has a similar feel to "A Past and Future Secret."

Word brohirrim. Too many people on this forum don't appreciate this album. They definitely went for a big, overblown sound on it; but the songs really are killer, and epic as fuck.

The Soulforged is a fucking awesome song (wait for the chorus):

A Twist in the Myth only had a few good songs: Skalds and Shadows, Otherland, Turn the Page are the only ones I really dig.

A Twist In The Myth was a big disappointment for me. Unlike most people i really liked A Night At The Opera so i was really looking forward to it. The problem i have with it is that nothing really stands out.

You hit it spot on, I'd say. A Night At the Opera was a really good record, but A Twist in the Myth had nothing special about it. A few decent songs (that sounded like they could have come from Nightfall in Middle-earth or A Night At the Opera), but nothing remarkable.

blind guardian are my favorite power metal bands and one of my all time favorite bands. nothing they have done has disappointed me. i just wish theyd come here more often. ive had two opportunities to see then, and on the first one they had an accident in washington and missed the show. it was a small venue show too. an intimate show with blind guardian would be simply amazing. because of the accident, i got to see symphony x for free, so that was pretty fuckin sweet.

anyways, nightfall is my favorite albim
