No reason to just get one, go for the triplet of Somewhere Far Beyond, Imaginations From The Other Side (intense atmosphere on this one, in my top 5 metal album list for sure), and Nightfall In Middle Earth. The early stuff is all good, but it's at SFB where Blind Guardian became truly original and not just another competent speed metal band.

Yup, this, imaginations and Nightfall are their top 3 for me. Nightfall is incredible in the storytelling.

Blind Guardian is one of my favourites. Imaginations from the other side, Tales of the twiligt world and A twist in the myth albums are te best IMO.

Blind Guardian is one of my favorites. Saw them live once and the place was vacuum-packed. They tore the house down and left everyone with pleasant memories of stellar metal goodness.

I actually bought Somewhere Far Beyond without ever hearing a single note by the band before. I heard they were similar to Iced Earth. Well, the cover artwork was killer and Iced Earth is (or was), too, and it was probably the best blind purchase ever (get it, blind?).
