Blind Guardian's U.S. setlist

FYI: There are some links on Blabbermouth to 2 videos from the first night of the tour. Lord of the Rings and Welcome to Dying being played.

Also, how was Leaves' Eyes? BG definately overshadows them but I sorta like Liv Kristine and their music as well.

Wow, the anti-Iron Maiden.

Did these guys forget they have a new album? Only three songs total from their two latest albums combined? That's pretty odd, especially for a band that's always been about pushing the boundaries. And it's not like it's their first time here (unless it was the first time in those cities?)...but even at that, it's not a career retrospective, it's really just "Nightfall" + "Imaginations". Maybe they're really trying to play up the Tolkien aspect, because they figure that will go over well with Americans or something?

Thanks for the info, that sounds great. I can't wait.

Rare to see something like this in San Diego, but it kicked ass. Great setlist. The best part though? I get to do it again tonight at the Galaxy!

As for Leaves' Eyes? Well, they didn't suck, but wasn't really my thing either. The crowd was getting kind of ansy though, wanting them to wrap it up a few songs earlier than they did. I think everyone was just REALLY REALLY wanting BG to come out.

I'm not that big a fan,but I'm seeing them tomarrow night in Hollywood,so I'm not that familiar with their stuff(do know Imaginations,my favorate song by them, and ATTWS)
Bards song=Ballad(I think I remember a really pretty ballad they did at ProgPower, this might be the song)
Any opening act in Hollywood?

If anybody could post their set length, it would help us figure out our Thanksgiving plans. We wouldn't mind seeing Leave's Eyes either since we don't know anything about them, so their set length would be usefull too. (and time between the two).

Thanks.

Leaves' Eyes are about 40 minutes, time between them depends on the venue but probably no more than 30-40 minutes, and Blind Guardian are about an hour and 40 minutes.

Anyone know Leave's Eyes setlist??

Woo hoo - cant wait for this show - first chance to see both of these bands live - really looking forward to BG especially - lookslike they are playing a great set list. May even hang out afterwards just to chat. Anyone know if they are letting cameras in for the shows?

Jeff

The shows have been absolutely fantastic, and Hansi sounds better now than he did in 2002, so I'd say if you have an oppertunity to go see them during this tour, do it. The setlists, as you can see vary very little from one night to the next, but the songs they play sporadically sound absolutely fantastic and it was definitely nice to hear something different every night for the 5 shows I saw.

Jeff: Camera policy is basically decided by the venues, not the band, so check with your local venue. Some places have allowed them and some have not.

BTW, ATTWS turns out to be better every time they play it.
