last time i got blood taken at the hospital they rushed it and ended up leaving a giant welt and bruises all up and down my arm and my arm was sore for multiple days. thats probably the last time i'll ever get blood taken for as long as possible.

Bruising and welting? That's just sadistic. I'm of the belief that a nurse should be trained to be gentle when drawing blood. Although they do make for good, but brief, battle scar.

I tried it at some point, when I still had a blood-caffeine level and not a caffeine-blood level, and the person doing it screwed up and after several attempts at getting it in my arm the needle got clotted and they couldn't get any more out of me. I'm O Negative, so it's not like they just didn't want it.

Last time I had blood work done, I got light headed and almost passed out. Add that to the fact that I HAAAATE needles, and every moment I have an IV in my arm when I'm admitted in a hospital bothers the HELL out of me.
