Has anyone passed out from a blood test?

Yeah well go get a blood test.

Dude, are we talking about a blood test or donating blood? With a blood test, they only take about two vials of blood. You lose more than that if you superficially cut your finger with a knife. When you donate blood, you give a pint or so. If you lost consciousness from a blood test, you probably are either afraid of needles or don't like the sight of real blood. It's nothing to be ashamed of or anything, it's just a minor phobia that only half the fucking world has. I remember in basic training there were people crying about having to go get blood drawn. These were people who joined the military service to fight and possibly die who are afraid of a little needle. It just happens sometimes.

I had a blood test last spring when they thought I had mono, and I felt fine afterwards.

I've always wanted to participate in the blood drives at school, but they're always on Halloween, which is right before my birthday, and you need to be 16 to do it. So next year!

YOU'RE ONLY 15?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :zombie:

What the hell is in the water in San Francisco?

I'm only 21, but I travel back and for between Jersey and Philadelphia every day. I see alot of people but the magnitude of Jersey boobies over Philly boobies is frighte......no.....awesome.

Seriously, all joking aside, you probably don't have much trouble getting into clubs underage, do you? You really do look like you're about 21-22.

Some medication shit. Not donation. I wouldn't be "crying" if that was the case.

Eek sorry to hear you passed out! I donate blood as often as I can. I don't mind needles, and actually think blood is cool looking, I like the color of my blood too, it's really, really dark because I have some weird genetic thing, but it's really dark haha. But I've never passed out from giving blood. Actually the only time I passed out in my life was when I got appendicitis. I was showering, and had been in pain for about 5 hours, it was higher up than the appendix is so I had ruled it out. I was shampooing my hair, and my arms got really heavy, and my vision went all blurry, and then went black, I blinked, then the next thing I knew I was lying in the tub looking up at the shower head spewing water down on my face haha I am surprised I didn't drown like a turkey. It blew.

This thread is giving me the jitters. I cannot have blood extracted from my body at all or I start hyperventilating, blacking out, and eventually fainting. I haven't had a physical for years because of it. It's not the sight of blood, but for some reason it is the fact that they are taking something from me that freaks me out. Not sure exactly. Medical settings are not pretty to me in general.

Mine is incredibly dark too. Apparently it's not unique and perfectly healthy, just very very dark. I told the Nurse it was because I was a Son of Hades. She didn't laugh.

Never had a problem donating or having blood drawn for tests. I've actually taken my own blood at the doctor's office. I'd much rather have blood drawn than have an injection, and I have blood taken about every 4 months or so for tests.

Because I have AIDS.
