I looked up Jagerneister on Wikipedia the other day after reading this thread. The translation is "hunt master". Jagerbomb has it's own page too Apparently the Germans call it either "Turbojager", or "Fliegender Hirsch", the latter of which translates to "Flying Stag".

Theres a dutch drink, much like jager but about a million times nicer. can't remember the name though....

we were treated to it at a pub called the little devil in tilburg, holland. it makes jager seem like toilet water.
