Let's discuss board games. People don't play them as much as they used to before video games and the like caught on, but they're still bloody fun. I've been meaning to buy a new version of Trivial Pursuit. I play the Young Player's edition with my mate, but the questions were written in 1984 and lots are just too easy. As opposed to some of the insanely difficult (for Australians) American questions in the adult version....

So, which games do you lot play?

Ahh the old 1984 Trivial Pursuit....the only reason I am any good at it is because I remember the answers from having played it so much. I too would like an updated version. I am not sure about these new DVD Board Games though....they might get stale quicker if the DVDs don't have enough on them.

I am a total incompetent at chess (for which you can blame the girl who taught me when we were both thirteen- her blossoming chest was quite the distraction), but I can slay just about anyone at Scrabble. I don't mind the odd round of Monopoly either.

I play lots of weird euro board games... of which the most commonly known one is Settlers of Cataan.

Always up for some old monopoly or any of the classics really.

I'm always up for a spot of boardgame action; if anyone ever feels like an MD boardgame fest, count me in.

What does Cluedo involve? I don't think I've ever played it. Is it one where you have to find out who killed someone, or is that another one I'm thinking of?

The game is called guess who?

You have two plastic board things that have all these pictures of different people. The way you play is:
one person chooses their person as the one the other has to guess through describing features etc. eg. does your persone wear a hat depending on the answer you either flip down all the people wearing or not wearing a hat. This goes in turns till the 1st player to guess the others person wins.
Is really a great game for little kids as it gets there recognition and discription skills fine tuned.

Board games rule, Southy. They give you interatcion with other people that books don't, plus you can always read a book afterwards, as I often do.

I wish they'd make a Guess Who for adults. "Does your person look like a skanky ho with big tits?"
