yes, he was implicated in that although the evidence was skimpy and/or nonexistent....some of the tortured conspirators mentioned him. He was so popular, though, that he couldn't just be executed, namely he wasn't a fervent nazi. According to his fifteen year old son, he agreed to take poison in return for no reprisals against the rest of the family.
