Bob Rob Interview - Funny Shit

Cool, so what I had heard was correct then, and it will be Rick Rubin producing. Well, hopefully he streamlines them a bit and injects them with some creative juices. I'd still give Metallica a 50/50 shot on creating an inspired and cool record. You never know, maybe they are hungry again. I just hope that the dual guitar relationship is more old-metallica than new. Like someone mentioned earlier, if the second guitar is just going to double the rhythm, what's the point?

Even though I would speculate it's because Bob Rock is supposed to be tied up recording Motley Crue's new album for most of the year, this is definitely interesting. I can't imagine Rubin would allow anything remotely close to SA be released. I'll be interested to see what he can add as producer.

Is it me or:

I say let Kirk produce. the world could use a good 57 minute wah-wah solo with double bass

Its cool, Rip... Mr. Kingdom was an unnaturally healthy love affair with "Jaymz" Hetfield and everything he does, and everyone he associates with... including the amazingly handsome [to him, anyways] Mr. Rick Rubin.

Last thing I think he was involved in was the mixing of Soulfly's new album

Damn shame. He was one my favorite producers of the 90's.

Despite the lack of solos, the off key-singing, the pathetically trite lyrics, the terrible meter problems, the tortuous bass sound, the muddled mid-range guitars, the overbearing cymbals, the inconsistent songwriting and the most god-awful drum sound ever put on CD, St. Anger has the potential to be excellent record.:loco: :yuk:
