I wanted a tattoo from the age of about 16..was 18 when I got together with the guy I ended up marrying (and eventually divorcing)..he was way anti-tattoo, told me from day one that if I wanted a tattoo I'd have to find a new boyfriend/husband.
We separated for a while after a couple years..& I got all 3 of my tats then..he just had to get used to them when we got back together
It's worth waiting for..if it's something you really want, then you'll still want it when you come of age. Just make sure you keep in mind that it's ALWAYS gonna be there (barring expensive surgery to remedy that), so choose carefully.
