Borknagar - Origin

I'm just listening to this now and really enjoying it. Any other fans, what do you guys think of the CD or the band? anything else similar worth checking out? I also have been enjoying Vintersorg lately as well (yes i know its the same singer).

and I did a search and didn't see this before so don't jump on me if it's been discussed.

Personally i don't see the fuss about Borknagar.. Not from the media.. because i've never read anything mentioned about them.. But from the fans.. I checked out The Olden Domain and a more recent album.. Seemed fairly standard stuff..

^ Try "Empiricism" maybe. Its the only one I can really listen to all the way through. One of my personal favorite albums for some reason.

I think Origin is a great record. I've been a fan of Borknagar for quite some time now, and have enjoyed each album they've released.

I'll check it out. Don't get me wrong, they're not bad.. Just not all that good

Origin just didn't do it for me. Borknagar is a good band and I enjoy acoustic music but I found the album quite boring. The best acoustic album that came out this year is Green Carnation's Acoustic Verses by far. Drudkh's new one is also mediocre.
