I checked out the studio's website, and I've not heard anything impressive coming from it.

The studio is pretty close to my house. I've done some work with him. He's really only done work with local acts. So im surprised that they chose to record there.

The stuff I've heard come out of there hasn't been anything phenomenal.

No doubt though its a nice facility. We'll see what he comes up with.
His production name he goes by is "dB" btw.

don owns bota studios in lake in the hills,IL i believe. I have met him a few times and am not a fan of the way he does his recording. From what I have seen and heard in the past, he has a very sloppy and ghetto rigged fashion of running his business. I will say this though, hes got some bad ass gear and can get very killer guitar tones with the amps he has in his studio.

I looked at the guys site, he has some decent sounds. I'm sure that they won't let the guy get away with something average this time around, they've already done that the past two records. So far it's sounding damn good, I'm keeping a positive outlook on this.

dunno if you noticed but the drums are midi, you can tell at 7:27

Well there were instances with other bands where the drums would be locked to the grid after recording the guitars, which wasn't a great method of recording in my opinion. I also got the distinct impression that he didn't know a lot about triggering/quantization/using a DAW to its fullest extent because some of the novice questions that would be asked.

I must say though that after watching these videos, the sounds and recording techniques have changed and I think this BOO stuff should sound sick.
