no, real drums sound terrible, and for the drummers sake, he is amazing, i dont do this for the reason of "they can't play the material"

and no one has 2 weeks of free time and money to get tracks to sound this solid

or do they play on a v-drum and you tight the drums track after with dkfhs

I tried convincing my drummer to let me program the drums for our next demo tracks today at practice and he threw a complete bitch fit. Can't say I thought it would have gone any differently but I gave it a shot.

this is probably why you'll never get a good recording (depending on the complexity of the material of course)

open a project, insert vst dfhs, make a midi track, point the midi out to the drummer vst, load your drum map

some people on here use that method to get more separation between drums and have more options with overheads and ambiance. Example: So you can have overheads for toms with no cymbals in them. So you can have snare drum with overheads and ambiance with no cymbals in them and then you can have all those With overheads then you can have the overheads with just cymbals and no drums and then do the kick alone like this method.

Obviously you would need to run like 4 versions to do this and i think this was Splat's idea (correct me if I'm wrong people)....

So i take it you just adjust everything inside 1 version dfh superior then bounce it down?
