...such as benighted and skinless, or even anaal nathrakh's more brutal tunes. Wormed and Devourment and the like are cool, but I'd like something that doesn't stay rooted in just gutturals.

Insidious Decrepancy, V5 recommended me this band a few days ago I like them and it sounds like what your looking for.

Cenotaph. They have more of guttural roar. Still deep and brutal, but not like a gurgle or a croak.

Pretty much every Colombian band has a rather inoffensive vocalist in terms of what you seem to dislike. Vocals are usually the worst aspect of Colombian DM though.

Some CADM may be to your liking. Deeds of Flesh and Intestinal Strangulation

Big ups on Colombian slam...something in the water there makes every band have average vocals and good to amazing everything else.

Other stuff with weirder vocals...

Dripping (gurgles and creepy screams)
Human Rejection (ree-ing)
Odious Mortem (kind of an understandable bellow with some fucking fast Gorgasm-esque syllable spewing)
Poppy Seed Grinder (alternates from deep growls to YAUORGH inhale shit...crazy!)

How about Visceral Bleeding? They lean more toward technical/speed than traditional brutal, but the elements are still there. They don't use gutturals at all.
