How do I search in this thread do find mentions of certain bands? There was one band that someone mentioned that I checked out (which was awesome), but I can't remember the name of it, and I can only remember another band that they mentioned in the same post...

I was listening to some of the bands that I wasn't familiar with that were listed on the Last.fm slam journal. I just went to their myspace page, and at least one of their tracks hit me as being pretty good, although I haven't heard more than what was listed on their myspace page, so they could still be shitty bands. I am sure that the majority of you are familiar with most of these bands, but here are the bands that I enjoyed at least somewhat:

The dark prison massacre - Kind of bad, but has promise.
Human Filleted - Decent Suffo worship.
Putrefying Cadaverment - Awful
Aversion to life - Some of the greatest slam to come out of the US, sadly their dead.
Grotesque Disfigurement - Boring
Corpse Carving - More like Slamming Goregrind, interesting but gets boring.
Corpus Mors - Has potential.
Stench of dismemberment - Overshadowed by all the other ITA bands, but decent.
Interesting...I was on the fence about mentioning Putrefying Cadaverment, as they mostly had negative reviews throughout the internet.
I thought the exact same thing about Corpus Mors. I checked metal-archives, and they have about 5 demos, so I am surprised that they haven't put together a full length yet.

ya. its pretty awesome but its a little to short. its 7 songs and an interlude and a little over 20 mins long.

Sounds like a pretty freaking ace haul to me. You should look into Vulvectomy if you haven't yet.
