Brutal/Slam Death Metal

I was just checking out that new Dying Fetus longer than a few seconds and it's like a fucking whirlwind of brutality. It may have honestly rekindled a love for brutal death metal inside of me.

Butcher the Weak on vinyl would be pretty cool, and I'm sure if UL is reissuing it, theyll do it.

So far I only see CD information but you're probably right, they're also reissuing Unleash the Carnivore I forgot to mention that.

Still need to hear that new DF, but I've heard really good things about it so far.

New VR is utter garbage. Love them as a band, but I definitely won't be buying that unless I find it cheap at a show in the future. Lacking all energy, none of the hypergroove magic their old shit had.

Conversely, been digging a lot of new releases lately. Got a confirmation email that my Neurogenic and Antropophagus shirt and CD combos both shipped from Comatose last night. Waiting on the new Coprobaptized Cunthunter from Reality Fade. As always, got a lot on the way from NSE, including the Carnal promo, as well as merch and CDs from Visceral, Seminal Embalmment, and Cordyceps. Stoked that the new Ossification is finally going to get a release, as well as for the upcoming split with Bleeding (whose new EP is also retardedly sick), Delusional Parasitosis, Ecchymosis, and Dissevered, which should be out this summer.

Got Bowel Stew and MDMA combo packs on the way from Pathologically Explicit right now as well, and a Putrescent Seepage LS and demo coming from Brutal Mind. Made an order this weekend from Coyote Records of the new Mental Apraxia, as well as the Needle Contaminated Pork demo and the first Coprobaptized Cunthunter album. Found a new band called Impure Faith from Colombia, typical raw Colombian shit. Their guitarist said their debut album will finally be coming out on Coyote this year.

Besides those, reeeeeeally looking forward to new albums and merch from Devangelic and Human Excoriation. The new Hideous Divinity looks to be incredible. Heard part of a song on my phone so it didn't tell me a lot, but I really liked it, will order soon. There's also a new band from Russia called Dissociative Healing that's pretty fucking sick. Check some of these out if you aren't familiar, I'm at work so I can't link much.

EDIT: Nvm, just ordered the Human Excoriation combo pack hahaha

I remember my first metal concert in 1994 or 1995 having Dying Fetus, Internal Bleeding, and a great band called Vertigo Rising that I've never been able to find anything about subce. None of the bands were really well known at the time and it was probably a stretch to say that there were 30-people there. I attended while in middle school and didn't really have the appreciation that I have for death metal now. But it was a great show and I've always had an appreciation for DF since. I didn't really love War on Attrition and though everyone thought highly of Reign Supreme, I couldn't get into that one, but enjoyed Descend into Depravity and all of their albums before WOA. Didn't even know about the new album- title sounds kind of lame, but I'll be checking it out regardless.

Eh they at least get mentioned as brutal death sometimes so I'll say this here.

I sent obscene records an order today for a copy of Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris today. It's pretty well sold out everywhere except them and I'm not even sure if their website is active any more. In the past I didn't like the album much but I've been wanting to give it another chance. Remember when these guys were heralded as death metal messiahs?

It's still active, the owner told me he had copies of that exact album when I posted about it on Facebook a while back. Need to get a copy soon. But yeah, they deserved every bit of that hype. Basically a flawless album, beyond unique. One of my buddies has it on vinyl and we spin it quite often.

It took a while but I got my confirmation and invoice email last night. ~$20 shipped registered to the states for the 2CD version if you guys are interested.

Just submitted an order for the 2CD version. What's stupid is people are selling used copies for way more on Discogs.

Yeah I noticed that. Czech labels seem to not get much distribution at all. That guys sitting on ~ 400 copies of that album total, single disc and 2cd. They would have easily sold out from any brutal death metal distro by now.

My copy is shipping tomorrow. The head of the label is very prompt with responding to you. He said it'll take about a week to get to me which isn't bad considering the distance.

@morguelord

I listened to the album for the first time ever last night. It is super weird but cool. An interesing mix of progressive/tech/brutal death

Maybe it took a few days because of the weekend.

I think it might be worth your time to check out the new Ingurgitating Oblivion btw. Brutal death with lots of weird jazzy stuff going on

New Cenotaph and Pathology are both up for preorder. Also, a reissue of Cesspool of Vermin's full length... which i'm pumped for. I let V5 talk me out of that album back in the day but it sounds great.

So what are the best bands on Unique Leader (and or other big labels that occasionally release brutal death metal)

I can deal with the technical stuff as long as it's got big riffs...

I've got albums by Hideous Divinity and Beneath and they both seem pretty decent.

This is active now. Code is "4TH"

Grabbed the new issue of the Inveracity debut, all Brodequin albums, Orchidectomy, and a free cd for $48.

Anyone heard the new dying fetus in it's entirety yet? The tracks I've heard seemed a little derivative and didn't do much for me, but I'll still check it out regardless.
