i'm not sure which thread to post this in so i posted it in both this and the death metal thread, but recently i remembered impaled did a split sorta album with haemorrhage, so i figured i'd check them out and i really liked what i heard, i downloaded the 2 most recent ones which have an impaled sort of feeling, i checked metal archives and it said they were goregrind, is that just for their older stuff or would other goregrind bands sound like this?

Most slam death is very brutal. VVVVV and Cookiecutter will probably recommend you Soils of Fate. They aren't nearly as brutal as bands like Devourment, and they are as catchy as hell.
