So, here we are in the middle of 2007, and still no sign of the Bugera amps coming out. I'm still interested in hearing these things, if they can give even a half decent tone, it may be fun just to have one lying around. Any of you music store guys hear anything about release dates?

They have the Bugera cab in stock @ music store, but the heads - only on backorder. Don't know when they'll show up in the USA, though

funny how everyone hated beheringer until they made a 5150 clone.

5150's are already cheap enough to afford, especially if you pick one up used. What's more, they're sturdy and reliable, something I can't say about Behringer gear. The build quality of Behringer equipment isn't worth the savings, IMO. Besides, it's a thieving company without innovation.

YMMV.

I'm still not a huge Behringer fan. I bring this up for all of us cheap, non-guitarist bastards who would like to have an affordable high gain head.

Mainly, I would like to see if the amp can hold its own to the real thing and save the couple hundred USD compared to a used 5150.

yeah, i'm just playing devil's advocate...

but i know if I popped on here and asked about behringer's sansamp clone, people that never even heard it would be like "screw them" "it sucks", etc.

if it's like their other stuff it will sound fine, but be made of the cheapest plastic parts they could find.

If it's good then why not especially if it's cheaper than a used 5150 especially if your just gonna have it lying around the studio un-giged.

I don't have high hopes though any comany who has to put "soul of valves" as there selling point can't be taken all that seriously.

.02 cents.

I have a problem with people stealing the designs of others, making small enough modifications to them to avoid payment, and then selling them off as their own - and having the balls to lie about it. I don't buy from unethical bastards who think I'm too stupid to know that they're no better than people who try to sell 'gently used' car stereos out of their trunk.
