This reminded me of two things:

1. I don't think people realize how often people use triggered drums. Even a lot of lauded albums use them.
2. I remember several years ago when several people here thought that using triggered drums meant that the drummer didn't have to do anything in the studio.

I was just joking. I generally dislike the sound of triggered drums, but I understand their usage for the stage and studio. It makes things clear for the drummer when playing at extremely fast tempos. Fortunately, most of the music I listen to is pretty mid-tempo.

But fuck triggers when Hellhammer plays live in Mayhem. It sounds like fucking ass.

I actually have a built in trigger on a snare I bought from a guy but I have no idea how to work it.

I'm a double bass guy and I don't like triggers but understand why they are used.
