bush or bust

Uhm, no. Pantera and Slayer did a "festival" of their own called the "Extreme Steel" tour in 2001. It was all indoors, and mostly in non-Ozzfest cities. Check your facts. Morbid Angel, Static X, and Skrape were the openers.

Way to take a sarcastic comment and dissect it. I don't need to "check facts" b/c I give two shits about who toured what city and played what venue and weather or not they ate at IHOP that morning.

Jokes on you, pal.

That is entirely NOT TRUE. SOWN was Anthrax's highest charting album, and they played several arena's and outdoor ampitheatres in the summer of 1993. They also played a few large venues when they co-headlined with the Misfits in 1996. Places like the Phoenix in Detroit and the IC Light Amp. in Pittsburgh. Check your facts please.

well i have that they had to switch to smaller venues after a lukewarm reception to sown,it was supposed to blow up like metallica but it just never happened, scott said it was the economy!

Bands go through line up changes all the time, for various reasons.

Anthrax can do whatever they want - oh yer, and I can't remember them wearing any spandex unless I have missed something.

If you are against the reunion, then don't go but I think their will be alot of people who are equally looking forward to this line-up.

No, I think many more people won't be for the new lineup. Mostly because Belladonna is really bad to listen to. The other end won't listen because of all the bad blood that has mysteriously disappeared between Thrax and Joey. Then to top it off, people are disgruntled how John and Rob were ungraciously thrown out. It's obvious because they're not speaking on their own behalf to say they voluntarily left. We're only hearing about Charlie supposedly saying this, making it look like they made the choice.

or maybe john and rob weren't thrown out or dishonorably discharged, or maybe they have better things to do than worry about every little thing that gets posted on some messgae board. wouldn't they be more likely to be doing interviews about what happened if they were actually kicked out. maybe they got payed to keep quiet but i don't think anthrax has that much money.

when Bush came in the band it was hard cause i was so used to listening to Joey...

and still everything after joey left sucked in my opinion sorry

if they were open and honest from the start (crazy concept, huh?) then maybe loyal bushthrax fans like me wouldnt have been as pissed. i first heard about it off a magazine cover! and considering the(seemingly) close connection the band has with us fans it struck me as wierd and actually pissed me off. like you girlfriend sucking your dads dick. or something.

Whatever that means. Bush Anthrax era has NEVER played any large venues/Arenas in the U.S since Joey left

And neither has Joey. I surely hope you don't expect Anthrax to be playing any larger venues with this line-up. From the sounds of it, they're going to be playing the same venues as they do with Bush fronting the band.

In case you missed a couple Dick Clark specials... we're now about 15 years removed from the days of thrash bands doing arena tours. For every band you want to name that was doing arena sized tours right at the time Anthrax were, I'll name you 20 that aren't.... deal?

they´re still playing THE SAME venues and Harpo´s (I hope there will be a mention of it in new AM, I expect Scott to say how he always has loved this club)

I have alot of mixed feelings about the reunion. I mean I will go just for the fact that I never saw this line up that I grew up on and to see how Joey holds up after all these years , I wonder if he's getting any kind of physical training, cause he knows he's got a lot to prove to the fans. I perfer Bush..buy watching live shows w/ Joey and Bush and actually seeing them in 2003 (after 4 failed attempts at seeing them) Bush by far has a more commanding stage presence than Joey. By listening to people on here saying about how Scott and Charlie were totally badmouthing Danny and Joey and now welcome them back with open arms, I agree and disagree. Yes it does seem like they're not being "straightforward" with us. But you could also say that things change too. When I was kicked out of my band of 7 years in 2002, there was a lot of badmouthing, and bad blood between my ex-bandmates and I...especially the singer, who made the descion. We've since buried the hatchet and I would definately join a band with him again if he wanted me to. It does kind of seem unfair to Bush and Rob, but in another sense, this must've been something that was bound to happen sooner or later and on their minds. Had it not been for the Joey/Spitz lineup, we wouldn't have the killer current version we had, or hopefully will still have once this is all said and done. It's their band and they can do whatever itis they want. we the fans may be the ones that keep a roof over their heads, but unfortunately, that's the way the music business works. All we can do is wait and see what happens with all this.
