I'd hold out for a second hand 1960, infinitely better than both of them, and around the same price (or not much more).

Honestly I would take the mg IF they were the same cost. I played one for a long time because I got it for free (still have it and use it as a beer rest), but ultimately a used 1960 is not that much more.

Don't even look directly at the MG, and would agree with the consensus of holding out something decent.
Buying TRULY shit gear like the aforementioned is false economy.

I don't mind the 5150 cab actually.
It's greenback esque, which is never a bad thing.
The bad thing about it, is the low end can be a bit farty/ have A LOT of speaker excursion, meaning that your low mid chugs will cause a HUGE spike in level.
There was quite a simple solution last time I recorded one.... You know that C4 preset.........
