Mixing into it is the way right? thats what everybody at gearslutz seems too anyway.

The SSL compressor is fucking huge and slamming if you know how to work it. Most cats usually mix with it on the whole time, and occasionally pop it out just to see how much you're relying on it.

I can tell you for a fact that "everybody at gearslutz" don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Has anyone tried the Tritone Digital plugs? they have a free version of their Colortone plugin. I put it on the master bus, adds a bit of 'SSL' to the mix. Its kind of like impulses of expensive consoles, if I remember right.

FWIW I have used their other plugs at my school, they are pretty decent.
