I'm pretty bad-off right now with a cold and I'm trying to keep my music going but every time I blow my nose my ears pop and it's like I just took out some earplugs. How in the heck do you guys cope with situations like that?
I'd expect to 'ballpark' the mix as well as possible - set levels right, make sure there's no clipping, maybe do some preliminaries in the stuff that lives in lows and midrange - and finish up later, but if you're on a deadline it might help to just have a friend come over and be a guinea pig.
I would stick with making songs/lyrics when sick. Needs less fixing afterwards. But as JBroll said: If it is a schedule matter, guess you have no choise to do it yourself or with a friend.
No. If sick, can't get the balance or anything right. So I'd stick with editing, cleaning up tracks, "administrative" stuff like that and take medecines...
Find it's like chasing my tail. Last time I got a severe cold my hearing actually changed permanently. My right ear is still somewhat fucked, over 6 months later. So always be careful to make sure you don't pick up an ear infection on the way.
