I noticed a while ago while watching Star Wars episode 2 that the music played as Anakin has just brought his dead mother home, is strangely similar to the opening theme of Candlelight Fantasia. I know MJR is a fan of John Williams, but this is just weird. I'm not saying that he copied or anything....actually I'm not even sure who influenced who. If that was the first time that theme was used (in episode 2) then that would mean that John Williams was influenced by Symphony X, cos the devine wings came out b4 ep.2 :D

Michael Romeo, definately stated that he love "Jonh Williams" in his instructional video. But concerning the date issues, i too don't think there would be any rip off. Also i doubt John Williams ever heard the name Michael Romeo in his entire life :)

Speaking of JW, I can't help but remember that Family Guy scene.

"And now the award for best adult film soundtrack."
"(miscellaneous names), and John Williams."
(Shows Williams conducting a huge orchestra).

Lol why do you guys throw down Romeo like that man? Any real musician has heard the name Romeo at least once! John Williams is a cool guy, and so is Romeo, I doubt either copied anyone, but I find it hard for someone like Williams to play something familiar to Candle Light Fantasia, just to damn good to be close to copied lol :p!

NAh John and Michael are probably having crumpets and tea together as we talk about them right now! They sit there reading the forums laughing at us lol!

has anybody tried to contact either john williams or micheal romeo about this. i bet they would have something interesting to say about the whole subject
