I think we're seeing the results of Socialism right now in America. These results will continue to come in and it's looking really bad for Socialism.
When Trump was President his goal was to get Americans back to work and it didn't matter who you were or what walk of life you came from--he wanted Americans to be prosperous and happy.
Now that Puppet Biden has undone everything good Trump did for the American people, we are all seeing a steady rise of inflation plunder our economy like never before. People who were doing well financially under Trump are now falling back into stricken poverty. And before Biden's communist assault is over he will have made every American dirt poor except for the super rich whom he serves.
American's economy is rapidly falling and its all due to Socialists driving everyone into poverty! Had everyone voted Trump we'd all be very well to do now. So the 2020 Election was the fist American Election where half the population voted to be enslaved by the government into stricken poverty. Won't be long and all these Socialists will be crying about their lives. But perhaps they should leave their ignorant tears to themselves. They were warned but they refused to listen.
The only happy communist is one who does not live in a communist country (or is on top of the dog pile).

I find it hard to fathom how metal heads can follow something as corrupt as Socialism. Metal music has always been outspoken against corrupt and tyrannical governments. But today, the number of posers have more than doubled! The result is false metal. In the metal world there is no greater sin that a poser or those who write false metal. So obviously there are more punks here than metal heads on this metal forum.
Razor Fist is unquestionably the best metal commentator out there. He really does a fine job putting Socialism in perspective.

A comical contradiction. The US government serving the super rich is an example of extreme Neoliberalism. The way the system is rigged for profits to flow to the wealthy billionaires is so ubiquitous that the US govt introducing a "socialist" scheme is akin to Christopher Columbus setting sail in a duck pond.
The super rich in the likes of Russia and China are proof that those countries are far from communism. The only country that truly ever achieved something resembling the communist ideal is Cuba. I figure their brand of politics is a bit too extreme in the other direction, but if it wasn't for the US embargo against them then surely they'd have been a prosperous country. The US doesn't want you to know that was possible.
My family has private health insurance with a non-profit insurer, which may be similar to the co-ops that were established under Obamacare. Things like non-profits and trusts can actually work quite well sometimes, but probably more so if they're independent of governments. I'll admit that an actual socialist government is almost certain to be doomed to failure, but that doesn't mean you can't have individual schemes that favour the working class as opposed to investors.

Well I mean figures show their tourism could be doubled and exports tripled or thereabouts. If the embargo was lifted they'd have to fuck things up quite a lot to stay wallowing in debt.

While the embargo has obviously had a huge impact (and it should be lifted), there's also Castro's history of absolutely dogshit economic and agricultural policies. Soviet Union subsidies acted as a band-aid over inadequacies for decades until it fell in the 1990's.
We can see for example that the state was unable to meet certain population demands, people weren't getting enough fruit and vegetables because approx. 80% of agricultural farms were centralized by the state. Very few countries that nationalize important profit-seeking or supply and demand industries will prosper, regardless of embargos in place.
