I've layed off my addiction for 3 months (I had to stop listening to it because I knew it was unhealthy)

I've put it back into full rotation.

This album = masterpiece. Track 5 is exemplary. Colin Richardson must get props.

No Ken No Carcass. :erk:

Ive been trying to look for info as to the condition of Ken actually recently. I never heard the end result of the brain tumor. Did he pass on? Or is he still just paralysed. I see a few things on the net saying hes playing again?

Well according to the most recent news ive found. Ken is re-learning to play. This is 3 year old info though. His recovery seemed to go pretty well.

Mabe andy or james could shed some light on this as they are probably the persons whos taked to him most recently here.

according to the interview inside Choice Cuts, the best of album, he had a long time in hospital but finally recovered and is now living with his parents and is into Techno!

Kens slowly getting back into independent life, he's along way from playing drums in a metal band though. His dad was telling me he's got a V drum set up that he practices on at home and when I saw him last he seemed in good spirits. I can't see a Carcass reunion happening with Ken, though it would be cool to see Mike, Bill and Jeff play together again, but I understand their loyalty and they've all moved on also.

Did someone say CARCASS HEARTWORK?!

CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Thanks for the info andy :)

Its great that hes getting back into playing and hes feeling better. I was definitely worried there for a while.

I do respect the loyalty, mabe a bill steer guest solo on the next Arch Enemy release ...lol

Once can only dream ::sigh::

I think it's good that in this era of silly reunions that Carcass have stayed loyal to Ken Owen, taken the high road, and left a legacy that eclipses the success they had when they were still active. Heartwork is absolutely a masterpiece metal album, and it defies a lot of conventions, not the least of which is having great lyrics in a deathmetal band!

heartwork was THE album for me back in the day. the one that changed it all for me. killer production and it had tons of melody. i know alot of people dont like swansong for whatever reason but i listened to it alot last year (i used to dislike it as well) and its actually pretty cool and has equally or better production.

I love swansong! Maybe my favorite. Necrotism is killer also. They all kick ass though.
I also actually like Blackstar - Barbed wire soul! Like swansong but a bit more rock maybe with a few horns thrown in.

Heartwork was the first non-slayer/metallica/megadeth metal album I got and when I heard it, it was like the turning point in a Shakespearean tragedy--the point of no return where the hero falls and can't look back, Oedipus losing his eyes, Anakin slashing Mace Windu's hand, Jack Napier falling into that chemical vat...Metal forever!!!

Hey guys can you explain me what happened to ken owen, never known the real story.
People told me during a robbery in a bank he was shot by the robbers, something like that, really don't know the true story.
do you know a site where getting infos about carcass story?
