Care to help a Re-amp noob?

CLIPPING !

Idk what you did but it sounds already overdriven.

Not good.

Full signal chain is ?

I thought it sounded funny.... Les paul Studio Gothic (498T passive P-up)-Countryman DI-Mbox1 Mic input. No peak lights on the Mbox or in PT when I tracked it. On the Countryman should I have it on grounded or open? I couldn't tell a difference when switching between the 2. Was on open for this file.

and also....how do get feedback when re-amping? Hold the audio file close to the speakers?

No :)

Your chain in -> computer -> reamp box -> amp

Set it in your DAW so you get direct monitoring of your DI signal.

And just hold the guitar close the the cab like you would normally do and the feedback will get recorded on the di wav.

Any other ideas? Just looking at the waveform I don't think it's clipping....it's only hitting at -6 ~ -4. What's wrong? ¯(°_o)/¯

It is clipping before the soundcard.

Look at the rounded big peaks.

Search for other members DI clips to hear what they should sound and look like.

Sounds and looks great now both when listening to clean singnal and when reamped by ampsims :)

And no difference between 1st and 2nd because you have no ground loop problem.
