19 years old, tough as fucking nails. Outdoor cat her whole life, never declawed or any of that pussy bullshit. No pictures, but she was black as lead and death and a fucking bitch that beat up dogs 15-20 times her size in her prime (read: age 1 to 12). She was a panther in her previous life most likely. A metal cat indeed.

I didn't like her for the first 10 years, my mom didn't for the first 4, and I'm not sure if my dad ever did, but we'll all miss her. Respect for a tough old bird.

I'm thinking maybe I should be a little more upset, but then again when I cruise over to my parent's house and see her dish/bed/her missing, it might hit me worse. But she's been half dead for a few years now, we've all sorta been waiting.

When my dog died two years ago... ugh. I was a wreck. I still think of her often and sometimes get choked up.

Sometimes it's for the better when they finally go at that old of an age. I had a dog that lived 18 years, before we finally had a vet stop by and put him down. He was an excellent dog, but for the last 3 or 4 years he gradually lost all hearing, most of his sight, his joints were terrible, and he eventually couldn't even move to go to the bathroom. It was somewhat of a good feeling when the vet finally helped him die. He was so loyal he wouldn't let himself leave us.

I'm gonna go find some kleenex.

it would be really metal if you somehow brought your cat back to life. like with a deal with satan or something. i cant wait to try that but nuthins died lately.

Good. All outdoor cats should fucking die. Between them and those damned birds that lay their eggs in other birds nests (can't remember the name of them but I don't think they were indigenous to North America), song birds in the U.S. are slowly dying out. I wish I could remember where I read this a few years back.

We had a dog a year or so ago that got to the stage where she couldnt walk, she had a cyst(spelling?) on her lower spine and it messed with her hindlegs, it made them all bowed and she kinda swayed about. She had it for like 2 years but she hit a wall(not literally) and just went downhill.
She is buryed in the yard with a couple of our other dogs from over the years.

I can tell im going to cry like a bitch when our two labradors die, especially the younger one she is such a top dog :erk:

I love every creature great and small, except mocking birds. My cat used to eat them, and I'd say "good kitty."

Besides, it's that bird flu shit that kills birds, you act like outdoor cats are an epidemic. Most people have Fluffy indoors with their claws gone so they can say "ooooooooogy kitty witty" as the cat fumes inside thinking "if only I had claws, you'd no longer have eyes."

PS: Fuck you. :)

heh. my wifes grandparents had this mean ass dog who contracted a disease from a racoon bite. it became completely paralyzed. they spent literally thousands of dollars at the ohio state university's vet school and rehabed him for months at home pulling his ass around in a little cart and everything. one day he finally started walking around again and doing normal dog stuff. literally THE NEXT DAY, he keeled over. it was hilarious.
