All of their albums are awesome and I enjoy them all but if I had to chose one to start off with I would say Legacy of Kings. Awesome album with some great very heavy tracks including one of my favorites "Let The Hammer Fall". Also check out their lead singers new solo album. He goes by the name Cans and the album is called Beyond The Gates. It doesn't quite sound like Hammerfall but darker and even heavier. Features Mat Sinner from Primal Fear and Sinner and Metal Mike formerly of Halford now of Painmuseum on guitars.

I agree, Legacy of Kings is easily one of my favorite power metal CD's of all time. I see some recommending Renegade, but to me that's their weakest CD, though they made a good comeback with their 4th release.

To the guys saying they are a mockery of old 80's metal. WHO CARES? They play what they enjoy. Personally, I am glad there is a band out there that is playing that shit. Cans has an awesome voice and I don't understand how it is weak. He can wail 10x's better than many other singers when he wants to.
