Charlie and Scott want to close the NFMB

Well, if they don´t want this board fine. I can live with that but I´ll miss a lot of you guys and "no" I´m not going to join the CDC.

This place is filled with our stupid (but a lot of time pretty accurate) assumptions and predictions and I suppose a place like the CDC has a higher degree of censorship. But maybe I´m not such a trüüe fan that I need to hear every demo-clip of the coming album. They usually end up on some accessible place a few hour later anyway.

That about sums it up for me too. I hope they reconsider, but if not, I'll miss what we have here.

I am a member of the CDC but I don't like their forums. Here is way better... and I would be very sad if this was shutdown.

In a way, is this surprising to anyone? Can anyone remember the last time that Scott posted anything here (though I have seen him lurking from time to time)? Charlie? Any other member of the band?

I, for one, think that if this is true, then it's petty. It's akin to Prince shutting down all the fansites nearly a decade ago because he wanted his website to be the sole source for news. He still hasn't recovered from that (among his many major p.r. and career flubs).

There are a lot of cool people on this board (as well as the occasional troll) who, despite our differences and views on Anthrax, are true fans of the band. Shutting down this message board would, IMO, be just another nail in the coffin.

So much for what they sang about on "Startin' Up A Posse".

If this is true, The Farter will create a new board called T.F.F.C.M.B. (The Farter's Fan Club Message Board) and all Anthrax fans will be welcome.

P.S.
T.F.F.C.M.B. yearly memberships will be $5 less than the CDC.

Seconded!!!
