Cheap monitors

alesis m1 active mk2 sound really good for the price in my opinion

I've been a happy owner of these for a couple years I would recommend these

No, but I recently ordered stands for them, and I should be receiving them in the next couple of days. How should one decouple them?

Quoting myself now: I just put the monitors onto my new stands (Quik Lok BS300, they're shitty but suffice) and holy crap, these sound so different now. A very nice surprise I must admit.

I'm already noticing a lot of bad stuff from my old mixes that I didn't even know were there I'm happy to know that it wasn't entirely my bad skills that made my mixes suck, it was also due to dampening etc. caused by bad monitor placement.

Right now its stands between: Edirol MA-15D, Alesis M1 520(If we can haggle the price a bit.) & Mackie Designs MR5.

+1 to this recommendation. I got mine on clearance from AMS for 300 for the pair and they are pretty nice for that price.
