I like many of the albums listed but have to agree most of them were far to Ozzy/Sabbath related. Loads of bands have brough a lot to metal (some of which not for the altogether good, ie one of my favorites Biohazard) but its impossible to narrow it down to 25 albums...... Or is it?

I'm only missing 4 CD's from this list.

Any "best of" list has to be taken somewhat lightly, since it is only opinion.

Having said that, I think this list was interesting. No list of "best metal albums" will ever please everyone, since most metal fans can't even agree on what metal is. Some call Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin metal, some only call bands like Slayer metal. Since there's no true definition of what metal is, there will never be a true "best of" list. However, I would definetly recommend the 21 albums from this list I do own, and I will probably check out the 4 that I don't.

The problem with lists like this (from non-metal magazines, websites..) is that they always pick the most obvious, nearly mainstream albums.

Lovedrive is a great album. In fact, Scorpions have a few great albums.

They should put Sabbath Bloody Sabbath as the winner.....or Vulgar display of power (every song is perfect)...or Among The Fucking Living (every song is great)

Alice would have been a nice addition to the list! Billion Dollar Babies, Welcome to My Nightmare, something! But like I said earlier, it's just someone's opinion.
