Cheese burger set list

Lets say you would go to your local Burger Shop and buy a Double Cheese burger and you sit down and take a bite and you feel a weird sensation in your mouth. You look in your cheese burger and BAMM! theres a ticket that says you just won the opportunity to attend a ND concert and build a 10 song set list for that concert. What would it look like?

Mine would look like this:

-The Voice of Failure
-Empathy's greed
-Lost in a day
-Forever with unopened eyes
-In the Absence of grace
-Lazarus regret
-A eulogy for the living lost
-I hurt those i adore
-The dead leaf echo
-Collapse of the falling Throe

And if theres ever room for an encore: Swallowed by the moon!

That would be my personal dream show!

Wow, very interesting list! All the normal crowd favorites are missing like Pale Haunt, Rain, Autumn Reflection... We have played all of these live at some point, even though songs like The Dead Leaf Echo and Collapse were only performed acoustically I believe. As for Swallowed By the Moon, we just talked about this the other day, and we're not certain is we officially played this live. I know we did part of it at a sound check once. If we ever did play this one, it was once.

Anyway, very cool list!

All the normal crowd favorites are missing like Pale Haunt, Rain, Autumn Reflection...

How do you determine the crowd favorites? Just by what makes them move the most or most interaction?
Just curious because although I would move around the most to Rain or Dominate the Human Strain, I would consider songs like Collapse of the Fallen Throne, Tears of the Beautiful or Lost within a day my favorite, though they would have the least interaction/response.

It's easy for us to know what the crowd favorites are from our point of view, as we get to see the reaction of the song starting, or the announcement of the song, and then how many people in the audience are singing along to the songs. It becomes clear what people love to see live. Sometimes, we'll take a chance and try something a few times, to see the reaction, and if it get's a poor reaction we don't do it again.

Plus I think it's easier to gauge what songs are fan favorites when we get comments on the forum or elsewhere, or the number of positive views on YouTube, etc. We know that in most cases people are gonna be happy to hear "Rain" and "Autumn Reflection", yknow?

I dunno if we'd do it exactly like that, but I think someday we'll do a show where at least one song from each cd is played. Maybe if we ever record another live dvd or cd.

Yea that's where i got the idea. But if people are gonna compare no matter what, might as well give fuel to the fire. And i have to say it was amazing to see Opeth do that. You guys just have a great catalog and it would be cool to see and hear the evolution of ND right before are eyes. You could hear the progression from album to album.
