Children of Bodom - Cover Thread

Since Erock was just mentioned. And he put a little BBT intro + solo in his new cover (at 2:11)

Should be more covers like this out there, with a distinct lead and effects and just a backing track (no vocals)

I'll be amazed if this band can still come up with masterpieces like Banned from Heaven or Are You Dead Yet on the new record... just shame on this chorus, instead of the vocals there should be a keyboard track mixed on top...

PS this guy's the happiest drum kit owner I've seen.

I just found the best COB coverer on youtube. He's from Japan. Fresh find, just a few views. Enjoy.

The Angels Don't Kill and Kissing the Shadows covers weren't very impressive, but the Done With Everything cover was really good, good find! I was actually going to post the kissing the shadows cover that johnny_victor posted because that was a very clean cover.

Not very impressive? It looks great, sounds great, playing is great, best I've found so far. The Angels cover is most enjoyable to me. He has a cover for NMF also but that one has a bit weaker sound and the song is meh.

^ I agree
too bad that guitar sound isn't very good which makes it sound meh at some points.

that guy is far from the best coverer, tho. You need train your ears, joonas

That's a pretty damn good cover, really nice quality. You guys may have seen this person's videos before but all his videos have great playing.

Graphically the most amazing COB cover ever. There's this echo on the guitar at times as the camera's flying through the red city and it's like the acoustics when the guitar echoes in the city... That pre-chorus and chorus is amazing... especially last 60 seconds is excellent. It's true the guitar tone and also echo plays big part in atmosphere... HCDR as an album could sound so amazing, but the record guitar sound is extremely superficial.

0:56 - 1:24 is like pure metal sex. Same from 3:15 to the end. This song has immense potential. If they could go back and change it, add that electric soundworld to the extended intro they've used live, mix the keys a bit up at the chorus, and use that echo for the guitars at the aforementioned sections... The reason this isn't one of the fan favourites or live hits is because the mid section with the solos derays from the climatic plot and forgets the killing mission for a while. Also Lil' Bloodred Ridin' Hood deserves a remake, these are the two songs on the album that have potential for greatness that maybe wasn't 100% brought out, both have lots of atmosphere, climax and this perilous mood going on.

I remember first time seeing this live nine years ago, it was the second track and it was just all earthquake with awesome bass beats meeting my chest (the volumes were louder on the outdoor venue those days) and I didn't even recognise the song. Next time I had a chance to see this live a few years ago I was out having a smoke...

Those guys are all really good, but the one Sany posted is just crazy. I watched a couple of that guy's videos and he is insanely good. He blows through the warheart solo here like it's not even difficult.
