Children

There is a kid at school, he listens to in flames, so I said have you listened to Opeth before? and of course like a feeble mind he said no.

I let him listen to In My Arms You Hearse, and Orchid

first words out of his mouth "This is cool hardcore music"

*take a big breath walk away, walk back, and back hand the kid in the face*

I'm done

anyone else want to back hand this kid?

the average listener, opeth would be pretty hardcore i bet. no?

Some people are confused by the myriad subgenres of metal of which hardcore is (kinda) one. You expected him to go, "wow, that sounds eerily reminiscent of the Gothenburg sound from Sweden, the heavy / quiet dynamics being one of the key qualities of the bands from that scene...a progressive form of metal I must say...the writer doesn't listen to Camel does he?..."

^:)

ps: the guy said, "school". we could be talking eight year olds here.
eight year olds, dude.

that hit the exact spot haha

but ya he wont give up the idea though, he still thinks they're hardcore

I know its very dick of me to expect him to think other wise but i am one who is strongly against hardcore, in my opinion not to offense anyone on here but hardcore is just a mix between punk, poser metal, and guys who cant grunt or growl correctly so the just shout then sing really high.....

did i not say 12 posts ago that the kid was probably saying they sounded "hardcore"...not as in the genre of women's pants and nocked off gothenburg riffs amidst a muriad of breakdowns and guys wearing makeup?

thank you. ugh :hypno:
