Fuck, I never had my wisdom teeth pulled, and all of a sudden, About 3 months ago My fucking molar in the back cracked, I have been brushing it like crazy, and being very careful with it. When all of a syudden again, My other side broke in the same spot! I have no insurance so I guess I am fucked.

Anyone else have this happen?

I had all four of my wisdom teeth surgically removed, but recently I cracked one of my back teeth - #18 to be exact, :p - but they couldn't tell how deep the fissure is from the X-ray so they sent me to a specialist for a possible root canal. He said I didn't need a root canal, but suggested I get a filling. You may get the same response.

Wisdom teeth are a pain in the...jaw. :p I had mine surgically removed when I was 17. I did look like a chipmunk for a while, and of course everyone tries to make you laugh because it hurts so bad.

Wow, I've had no wisdom for ages now. But I manage. :D

Don't you just love dental torture? I've bitten every dental person whose ever had their fingers in my mouth. :D

I had them put me under when i got my wisdoms removed. I had that and 4 cavities filled and a root canal started. haha I tried to get it all done in one visit. Well anyways when I woke up at home and need some pain medication cause it literally felt like someone smashed me teeths wit a hammer. lol
Well the pain meds worked. I brush and floss all the time, just have a real bad phobia of the dentist. egads let me out of this topic! lol

I didn't go to the dentist for something like 10 years. Then I had a tooth crack (it already had a root canal) and I had to get it pulled. A different tooth needed a root canal and when they went in to do it the tooth was completely eaten out from the inside, so no root canal. That one got pulled too. So I had to get implants for both which run a minimum of 4gs each. Not a cool thing. I'd go and get that cracked tooth fixed while they still can. If you let it go too long it'll decay too much and they'll pull it. Trust me, that sucks. Very expensive.

I hadn't been to a dentist in years as well till last year when I said I should really use this insurance for something while unemployed/cobra coverage. I had to get 5 fillings redone (did 2 first , then last 3). At that point we saw I had a tooth that had cracked/broken but he was able to fix it with a filling and it's holding. Otherwise possibly a crown on that one. but surprisingly my teeth overall are in decent shape. So yeah Dan, get that fixed, either crown (hopefully) which is like $1200 or filling if they can do it so it'd cost a lot less.

Dentists have come a long way from back in the day man. A long way, especially with the new filling now tooth colored vs the silver stuff BUT I will say that shit lasts a looooooooooong time man!
