Christians suck; world still turns

No. There are a lot of murderers too. A lot of people are sexually aroused by children. No.

...and you say "inherently" homosexual, but that is part of the point that was being discussed.

And don't accuse me of equating homosexuality to murder. It's the logic that I am pointing out.

I am all for people being viewed as equal, based on being humans.

I'm really not sure what you're talking about anymore. Why are you even comparing homosexuals to murderers? Homosexuality isn't dangerous to people (no more than heterosexuality, anyway). I shouldn't have to spell out that that's a factor in giving people rights. Please don't bog down this discussion with inane details like that.

edit: cookiecutter pretty much sums it up here:
They are human beings who are not doing anything wrong. Therefore they should have equal rights.

Ignorance and irrelevance are purely your opinions. The fact that you find my opinions ignorant leads me to believe the same about yours. So who gets to decide true ignorance? Ah yes, the one with the "power".

Thanks for reminding me that my relative views on things are my opinions, that's some sage wisdom there. Regardless, you posted a misleading and honestly really random point that had nothing really to do with the topic at hand (at least not at the point the argument/discussion was in at the time). Anyway I don't really want to argue with you; if you have a problem, report me to the administrator and let him be the judge.

Wow, dude. Read my post that you quoted, and then read your reply.

So are you even arguing anything here, or are you just critiquing other people's arguments for the sake of thoroughness? Because you've thoroughly confused several of us here by inserting yourself into the debate without actually making it clear what you're arguing.

People don't read.

Point made. Now we can move on.

edit: I still don't see what you've contributed to this debate, though, besides introducing overlooked details that virtually everyone assumes by default. I don't think anyone's going to be calling into question the merit of separation of church and state, or the merit of giving homosexuals rights equal to heterosexuals (despite that being irrelevant to this thread).

Fuck you all about "freedom of speech"!! There is no true freedom of anything!! It's against the law to yell "fire" in a movie theater when there is no fire. It's illegal to say you're going to shoot up your school.

Sure, those idiots committing said illegal acts mention the 1st amendment, but the law doesnt give a fuck!!!

a) I gave an example of my own church and how we differ from those other churches on what we feel church is all about.

b) I pointed out that nobody was willing to allow Ferritallica to make his point. It was more of a bullying session.

c) I *joined in* to a conversation that was already going (and which more than half of has been since deleted) about homosexuality wherein I questioned one point that was being discussed.

Why do I have to explain everything I already typed. I guess I should be used to it by now.

I browsed over the discussion, and I can't for the life of me understand why you guys are comparing homosexuality - a personal lifestyle choice - to christianity - an institution built upon the principle of affecting as many people as possible, whether they want to or not. It seems silly to me...

I didn't bring homosexuality into the discussion, I responded to this post in particular. If the topic itself was the problem then why weren't all posts regarding it deleted?

Bingo.

No I am not going to "report" you to the administrator V. I'm sure you normally do a fine job of troll removal/forum corretion. This situation was probably something akin to the Hochuli call in the SD-Bronco game :D .

Heh. Sorry I flipped out, really, but seriously, homosexuality has nothing to do with this besides that it's VAGUELY related to separation of church and state and even MORE VAGUELY related to this discussion.

Sorry for being a dick then. And yes, there was probably too much bullying of Ferretallica.

internet: serious business don't bully people

Seriously. He misunderstood everything and threw his stupid bullheaded opinions on things he doesn't understand out there. We have the right to tell him his opinion is ill-informed and irrational. He has the right to take it in stride and possibly learn something amidst being told he's a moron.
