christion black metal

I'm with susperia on this one

as for christian black metal, it's fundamentally wrong. Black metal isn't called so because it has a color

Christian Black metal just sounds like an oxymoron to me.
Correct, it is. My understanding of the concept of Black Metal, is an extreme form of metal music, venting its abhorration and anger at christian values that corrupted Europe during the christian crusades. Christianity has no real place in Black Metal, and those who intend on creating such a nonsense, are only making fools of themselves for doing so.

Those words weren'y exactly mine, i was para-phrasing from old correspondence i had with first wave BM bands from Norway who pretty much set the template on all things 'true Black Metal'.

Having been a frequent visitor to Oslo, Bergen and a little place called Telemark (those in the know, will know which band hail from here) in the late 80's till '95, i can honestly say that the term "christian Black Metal" would have been met with stunned silence.

I have no problem with it, but I feel that it's funny to call it "black metal"... correct me if I'm wrong but the whole ideology of black metal is to be against the roman catholic church (okay not christian but basically)... I just don't feel that they should label it as black metal. but oh well, if the music is good who cares what they call themselves.

WHo gives a fuck so long as the music is good, i hate satanists but im in this forum, i love death metal music and consequenlty i expect to hear lyrics about satan and killing christians. Its just really a childish fad
