Yes, there are imitaitors out there who have no credence. Anybody can fake it. Corpse paint, blast beats and barky vocals are seen as somehow "making it" by certain bands these days. The ideology is missing and perhaps somewhat not understood in the haste to be 'Black Metal'. Perhaps these are the bands that you have been subjected to??

Metal is not a christian genre. We have all kinds of people with different morals,etc.. we have homosexuals in the genre. Who knows how many people who a christian would look down upon that play metal music. Chrisitianity have never known what rock & roll has been since day one. So many bands have had to deal with bullshit since the beginning. People just want to play their instruments, and entertain people. It's one of the few things they can do and religion is taking a big piss on it.
Wrong right there. See i am one and i dont care about evil or death beacuse a true christion dosent care about those things.

I agree and disagree. I think metal is more of an anti-mainstream genre. It is the opposite of what the majority of people want to hear in music. Since Christianity is complete mainstream in America, Europe, and South America where 99.9% of metal comes from, the music is by extension anti-christian. Christians with open minds and good taste can listen to it with few qualms, such as Danallica and Zephyrus.
