I just noticed how inexpensive cinder blocks are. Are they good for sound reduction for the neighbors, maybe get rid of some of the low end from your guitar cabinet?
Well, I don't know if my experience is valid but at the conservatory they have cinder block walls and it sucks. The sound goes right through them. The practice rooms get annoying when you have some gay music theater major belting some retarded song from Rent while trying to practice. ugh.
We had cinderblock walls in our rehearsal room, and I can say that it doesnt do sh*t when it comes to sound reducing.
I have never, ever been in such an unpleasant enviroment of sound, the drums just sound "batabatabatabata".
I wouldnt say they are great for reducing sound transmission. But, i do use them to prop a 412 on when i need to get it off floor. They do work well for bass decoupling.
