Cities, towns. Your fav places....

The US wouldn't be the US without an anal custom service. We just love to poke people in the arse!:)

i prefer towns, cities aint my thing. Last time i traveled anywhere was last year when I went to Los Angeles. I'm going back there in less than 2 weeks but it aint because I loved Hollywood (what a shitty place!) just for visiting friends.

I guess that the concept of 'city' and 'town' depends on you references...kunt, to you, is a 'place' with 300.000 ppl living a city or a town?

the only cities i know besides rio are São Paulo, Curitiba and Belo Horizonte.
Curitiba kicks major ass, i've got one of my best friends there. My bro lives in Belo Horizonte and it gives me a warm fuzzy childhood feeling, cause i lived there through a quite big part of mine. São Paulo.... well, São Paulo is bigger, noisier, more polluted and more poser-filled than Rio :p
but still, it's a nice city for entertainment, it beats Rio to death on that aspect.

I'd like to meet lots of places around the world, but then again, being the bum that i am @ the university, i'll probably never have the money to visit not even one of them :p

Yeah, like 100 years ago. Then eventually Brasilia was built, in order to move the capital to the innerland(which was mostly deserted, and it still is, compared to the coast), to get people there and protect the executive powers from a sea attack...
Just a little history :)

My favorite place I've been to is Yokohama, Japan. Not only does it have beautiful beaches and islands to the east, but it is an area saturated by a rich history. Yokohama is where Admiral Perry opened the doors to Japan and as a result, there's a lot of western influence in the area. A lot of interntional trade occurs there and it's been named "Minato Mirai" (future harbor) as it is a symbol of Japan's modernization. There's a large bridge that goes over the bay and connects the Yokohama and Tokyo districts together. Yokohama is far enough away from Tokyo that you can find places to relax and if you'd like, you can quickly experience all of the action in Tokyo by taking a 20 minute train ride north.

(That big building is Yokohama's Landmark Tower. After the next couple night time photos, the final photos were taken by someone at the top of Landmark Tower!)

No matter how much I complain about living here (Southwest Virginia) it actually isn't all that bad. That is, if you can enjoy the scenery without killing some idiot, shit could get a little nasty after that . . .

A few pics:

I just looked at the FTR booklet and you're right, and they really are that blue. They're sooo amazing just after dawn, it'd just blow you away.
