My favorite place I've been to is Yokohama, Japan. Not only does it have beautiful beaches and islands to the east, but it is an area saturated by a rich history. Yokohama is where Admiral Perry opened the doors to Japan and as a result, there's a lot of western influence in the area. A lot of interntional trade occurs there and it's been named "Minato Mirai" (future harbor) as it is a symbol of Japan's modernization. There's a large bridge that goes over the bay and connects the Yokohama and Tokyo districts together. Yokohama is far enough away from Tokyo that you can find places to relax and if you'd like, you can quickly experience all of the action in Tokyo by taking a 20 minute train ride north.

I haven't been out of my homestate of Ohio too much but I have been to Michigan, Washtington DC, Niagra Falls, NY and Providence, RI - all of which are cool but nothing spectacular except for Niagra Falls. I have never been out of the US and would love to visit other countries. I guess my favorite place would be here in Ohio and that is: www.put-in-bay.com

I've only been out of the country once and that was to Canada. No big deal. I have been to multiple places here in the U.S. and like it here in the Seattle area the most. Though, I would like to go to other places in the world especially Japan.
