Oh right I've been reading about that situation for a few weeks in world news. Sounds like a real mess! Greece is having the same type of problem. The estimate I've been hearing for years is that there's 20 million illegals here. That's insane if it's true. I'm all for letting people in. But there's a right way to do it. It's not fair to the people that save and prep and wait in line.

Man many of us don't understand the why of how our stuff works. I wouldn't expect any of you too! lol.

There is never an easy answer to immigrants legal or otherwise but the worst stuff from here is not knowing the truth. Our current mob claimed the stopped the boats of illegals coming here, but all they did as stop reporting when one arrived and put a 'parliamentary privilege" banner over things so the media couldn't report it. Now the island is full and there is no where to put new ones.

Voting is compulsory here and many people think our system is too hard. There is a call to drop the age of voting to 16 but all those free speech wankers claim its too young and 16 year olds can't be trusted. It's quite ironic really.

There's no easy answers as sure as there's no shortage of liars on both sides in politics lol I laugh because it's sad. These people are public servants trusted with important jobs.

I say give the 16 years olds a shot! They may see things a little clearer. They aren't beaten down by the way the world works yet.

It's no wonder all the public servant sector gets a bad rep when the leaders of it are so bad.

The stupid part about not letting 16 year olds vote is that it's less than 10% of the voting population and since in this country it's compulsory voting there is little chance that those few voters are going to swing a vote one way or another.
