Classics Reborn

Wow, 90 mins and they still haven't got Leave Scars on the playlist

Must watch it later on. On the YT list when I look at that video there is also a full concert of DA at the Hammersmith 89, it's only 30 minutes but I'll have to watch that one too.

There is other model trucks I would prefer, however it's not a bad price for a branded model from Revell.

It's an American truck and trailer which sucks a bit but at least it's Kenworth that's something.

I can't help but wonder if Birmingham have run out of other things to put names to.

I know it looks all legit and the works seem to be authorised by the band etc but I do wonder how much this is just one guy with too much money putting forward an idea the council aren't likely to accept so he's using social media to push it.

Yeah I suppose I'd go and see it if I was in town, but it kind of looks out of place.

However I say that living in a state that has paid for some of the most ridiculous art pieces in the world. In 1978 we paid $70,000 for this.

Not quite transforms but it moves, it's been moved about 5 times since it was built because people keep complaining about it. It was called "the Vault", no idea why but Melbourne people nicknamed it The Yellow Peril and or the first 10 years it was right in the city and it got covered in graffiti, now days it's still around but I've got no idea where it is. But it's 40 years old, that's not a bad investment for $70,000 :puke:

Nah the guy was an artist at the time. I think he's dead now but the money was granted and it just became something no one understood so they didn't like it. Like most abstract art I don't think any one is suppose to understand it.

We have a habit of granting government money for shit art. This is the "public purse" I think it was named because some guy suckered the government of the day into paying for it out of the public purse.

Then we have this thing called "A History Apparatus"

Honestly the yellow thing is almost the least stupid thing this state has paid someone for.

Well the history apparatus looks pretty cool! It's better to have art around that people don't understand or maybe even like than none at all. Otherwise it's just buildings and concrete everywhere lol

It might look cool but I have no idea what it is or what it represents. It's out the front of a cinema and is one of many things that are suppose to mean something.

We've got way cooler stuff than that, a google image search for Melbourne Street Art shows some amazing art murals and laneways full of pictures that depict anything and everything. Some are truly stunning.

MI seem more butt hurt about this Threatin thing than anyone else. Every day they have had at least one article on it. Every day the article sounds like they were the victims. Every day there is some new thing they have "dug" up and all this time no one else seems to be reporting on it. I starting to think someone at MI has a guilty conscious and is trying to justify why people got caught out before it's revealed they helped this guy do something.

The click farm story could have been done about any thing with ratings from movies, to books, to music, it would be just as valid and it's been going on for years but MI choose to make the connection to a guy basically no one has heard about.

I know, I haven't seen anything about it anywhere else lol. If you hadn't posted I still wouldn't know about it. Makes me think you're right about them being butt hurt.

From the guy who brought us the amazingly stunning LP Shitting Bricks comes a new mini opus
http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/fo...ris-holmes-to-release-under-the-influence-ep/

At this point in time I listen to anything Holmes does for comical value because that last album was a lot funnier than it was good and the film clips were just 3 minute comedy skits, but I don't care too much for him.
I only heard that one song from the last album. Then I quickly forgot about it.
