Classics Reborn

Yeah I think at this stage if DT came up with something different I'd be surprised. Three minutes too long is the subtitle of nearly all DT songs, but I do like the band for the most part :)

I didn't listen to the new Ryche song. I meant to go back to it because I was listening to some new thrash but I forgot. Shall do it soon.

I used to like them a lot. Then I liked them for the most part. Now Rudass ruins everything they do for me since he joined.:cry:

I wouldn't say the new Ryche is groundbreaking, but I liked it. And it's still miles better than any of the last albums with Tate or anything better than Tate is doing on his own even with picking anyone he want's to for his music....everyone except DeGarmo

I try to like them with every release. I'm not fanboi enough to buy every album and I do like a lot of what they have done. I also have to be in the right mood to listen to them because of how long some of their songs are.

Still going to listen to it, still haven't got around to it :)

Yeah I know what you mean. I always give them the benefit of the doubt. But it's been a let down for longer than I can even remember. Really whenever the wizard joined the band.

I get to the point where I'd rather a best of album of theirs than a full album. But at the same time I still think many of their songs go longer than they need too.

Again all you non believers should be apologising to KK. Owens says he has been telling the truth and if there is one guy you can believe it's the guy who thinks his previous band is trying to "erase" him.

"I talked to Ken, and he had nothing but great things to say about [his replacement in PRIEST] Richie [Faulkner] and even the band," Tim continued. "When I sat down with him a few months back — this was before the book was written, but he wasn't in the band [anymore] — he spoke great about everybody and especially Richie. So that's just the way it is."
He spoke with him before the book was written and there was no animosity so therefore everything KK has said since then must be true as well. Seriously I'm starting to think JP should erase this dick head.

But I do like this line the best.

According to Owens, Downing isn't bitter about the fact that he is no longer a member of PRIEST.

No he's not bitter at all, he's over the moon and cheerful about the entire subject, you can tell by every interview he's done since the book came out. I'm starting to get the feeling Owen's is KK's fifth persona.

Yeah I can't figure out if Owens is being deliberately naive and selective or if he's actually trying to remain a fence sitter and put a foot in argument from both sides.

Well I got the impression that it was so big I didn't need to buy it, it would just radiate around the world and I would hear it on the wind.

Man I thought the guy was almost trying to share the blame at the end of the second paragraph when he said "we weren't pulling our weight" in reference to what the whole band were doing at the time.

The he follows it up with more self centred BS, "I felt some guys were going through the motions."

News flash fuckwit, if the band as a whole wasn't pulling their weight it's the band's problem not "some guys".

Then he goes on to say he had 15 or 20 reasons why he quit. Shit man if the list was that long why the fuck would you want to be called back 8 years later when the majority of the band is still the same

He's such a douche bag. He says he wanted to leave to spend time with his family before it was too late. He was already in his 60's. His mom must have been 100. But then he still needed 20 more reasons to leave Priest?! Either you want that chance to spend time with your family or you don't. You shouldn't need anymore reasons. Dick.

They would either have kept getting better or Cliff would have eventually left. That's my opinion anyway.

It's hard to think that Cliff would have liked playing what they do now, but whether his voice would have been enough to keep Lars on the thrash path is something I guess we all wish for but don't know for sure.

James said Cliff wouldn't have been his ally for their change lol. But maybe Cliff and James together could have kept it from happening. James has said recently he wasn't even that fond of that time he did it for Kirk and Lars. I think Cliff dying is the only thing that saved Lars from being kicked out like they had been talking about. But like you say. We'll never know.
