I haven't had a ticket for about 10 years and the boss paid it because I'd reported the truck to have a faulty speedo and paying the fine was easier and cheaper than admitting to the roads corp that he had faulty trucks, but the costs and penalties here and pretty high. The whingers are always on about the cops revenue raising and picking on people just over the limit but anyone caught 30+kph over the limit here loses their licence automatically unless they take it to court. I don't really have a problem with the strictness of the fines, I don't generally drive like a dick and if other people want to keep doing so and paying the fines it keeps my taxes down

C'mon! Not the D!
I reckon they'd both end up in tears! Fatman would be crying that we shouldn't let trouble makers into the country and Dee would be crying that no one understand copyright like he does because he knew how to steal a song that was 200 years out of copyright. In the end the ref would be the one to throw the towel in and tell them both to stop crying.

To be fair Dee didn't exactly steal the tune of O Come All Ye Faithful, it's very close and he has been quoted as saying he was heavily influenced by the song but because the song was so old he didn't have to deal with copyright because it was well and truly public domain. If the fat man can at all prove he used the original and down tuned, up turned, twisted, bent, fucked up the the arse the note progressions or anything else Dee has no leg to stand on with copyright.

Hey look it's the why wont Anthrax play Bush era songs debate wrapped up in a different wrapper.
Owens claimed a few months ago that he was being erased and it sounded like a pissy little whine. This isn't quite so bad, he's saying the same thing many Anthrax fans have about the Bush era songs on stage. For me I wasn't a fan of the Owens era of JP and there are plenty of people who would argue me to the death that Owen fronted JP was brilliant but I just didn't care for it and barely listen to those albums so I don't have a problem with them not playing those songs.

I understand both sides of this. But really, what does he expect? Would be cool for some maybe a lot? Sure maybe. JP has been around forever and even Ripper's short time with them was a long time ago. And his albums aren't what puts asses in the seats.

I have no idea what the make up of JP fans who think Owens should be worshipped really is, but I do know there is some rapid Owens fans. I don't dislike his albums purely because of his singing, I think there was more wrong with them than that and I guess that's why I don't care that Priest don't play them. But I also don't think they have "erased" him.
No, I don't think they're trying to erase him. Or that he has been. I think he want's to get KK's attention.
